Everyone has heard of the Pink Beach located in Padar, the largest island of the Komodo National Park, but Flores has so much more to offer beyond the famed pastel-hued beach. While the unusual color of the beach is certainly a draw compared to most beaches, that’s not all there is to it in Flores.

If you managed to reach the Koka beach, you’ll find it a pleasure to not be swarmed with tourists. Not many foreigners made the effort to reach this place and especially not those coming on a liveaboard. If you’d like a unique destination for your upcoming Komodo boat charter Koka Beach is definitely among the place you should put in your itinerary.

Avoid the weekends and national holidays

Feeling as if you have the place for yourself is one of the main reasons why Koka Beach is worth visiting. Boasting clear blue waters and soft, white sand, this gorgeous beach is located between to hills, which makes you feel as if it’s well-hidden. The best part is when you reach it and feel as if you have the place to yourself.

Go during the weekdays. Thankfully if you are on a Komodo boat charter you should be able to plan your itinerary yourself. Going to this hidden gem on a weekday shouldn’t be a prob`lem. The weekends are usually crowded with the locals and it also often means one thing: the beach will be littered with trash. Both the government and the locals unfortunately haven’t made an effort to remedy this.
