School Glassfish

Among other school of tropical fishes you can see in Amed, glassfish fishes are probably the most playful one. Glassfish, as its name refers, has translucent bodies that allows you to see their bones and internal organs. School of glassfishes are interesting to look at. They shimmers, glitters, and shines as they move round and about in synchronised swimming. School of glassfishes become one of a wonderful, hypnotising experience for many divers diving in Amed. These fishes love to gather around Lipah Bay and Japanese shipwreck.

Small Stingrays

Bali and rays are often associated with the gigantic, non-stingy Manta Ray (Manta Alfredi). However, many divers are missing the opportuity to see the not-less-amazing blue-spotted stingrays. These rays are commonly found in Bunutan and Jemeluk Bay. Just be careful to not get too close to these stingers! They might be not as friendly as their Manta relatives!

The pygmy seahorses often become the highlight of many divers in Amed. These cute little creatures live in their safe residency the sea fans, where they can blend perfectly with the environment. It takes a trained eyes and careful observasion to spot a pygmy seahorses between the bumpy bump gorgonians sterns. The Bargibanti pgymy seahorses and Denise pygmy seahorses are the most common species to be found in Amed, Bali. Meeting the pygmy seahorses during your Amed diving need extra caution; the fragile gorgonians where they are living in are very easily destructed. You can find pgymy seahorses in Amed Wall or as it went by other name, the Jemeluk.

Black-Tip Reef Shark

No dive in Bali is complete without seing the pelagic. These predators always bring the awesome, eerie feeling with their presence. The black tip reef shark is one of divers favourite when diving in Amed. However, these sharks are quite shy and they don’t really like the affluence of too many divers. They most commonly come up on the low season when the dive sites are less busy. The presence of sharks is always a good news as it indicates that the corals are in good health! Black tip reef sharks usually hang out aroud the Deep Blue, Bunutan, and the Pyramids.
