Destinations in Komodo National Park—which cover islets, beaches, dive sites, sunset bat show, and many others—are wide spread within the park. You need a liveaboard Labuan Bajo to get you around, and for many backpackers in budget, this means resorting to a guided tours. Well, unless you decide to charter the whole liveaboard Komodo, which we don’t really recommend if you are on budget. Labuan Bajo is A Low Key Destination

Most travelers get so used to Bali and all the starred resorts, spa, shopping spree, yoga, and even mindful retreats like vegan dishes and smoothie bowls. Everything in Bali is easy. You can easily navigate by yourself in this island and find everything you need. But that’s not what happens in Labuan Bajo. The city is not exactly filled with convenient tourist accommodation and attraction. While staying option become pretty much diverse just in the last few years (thankfully), we cannot  say the same with transportation, roads, attraction, and dining options.

However, if excursion to Komodo National Park is your focus, then these lack of development will make Flores even more rewarding. With most of the secluded islands remain untouched by civilisation, the wildlife is kept on its most pristine condition. You will have all your needs taken care by the liveaboard Labuan Bajo. You basically sign up for a complete package of hotel, transportation, and three-meals-a-day catering. This probably will be the most convenient solo travel through all your backpacking career.
